Every day we encounter opportunities to be God's voice, His hands, His feet here on earth. Please consider taking advantage on an extremely rewarding opportunity to touch the lives of our brothers and sisters behind prison walls, through the Pen Pal Program of Mary Mother of Captives (MMOC).

"I was inprison and you visited me," said Jesus in Matthew 25:36. We are seeking pen pals to write to inmates in prisons throughout the country. Complete anonymity is guaranteed. We have a list of inmates and take them in the order they contacted us. We code the name of the pen pal on the outside, we use your first name and first few letters of your last name, or a name you chose. The return address used is our PO Box 52416, Philadelphia, PA 19115. We remail the letter from the inmate to you unopened.

All information we receive is for our use only and not shared with anyone. 

Do not neglect Christ  suffering in our prisons. Break the tedium of prison life, encourage inmates to use the time of incarceration for spiritual and educational growth, and help improve inmates' writing skills so they can look forward to a more rewarding life both in and out of prison.

All of us can find fifteen minutes a week to reach out to some of our societies most isolated people.
